Robert H. “Bert” Needham ’61 died August 28, 2014, in Waltham, Mass. He was born in Worcester, Mass., on June 19, 1939, and prepared for college at Needham (Mass.) High School and Huntington School. A standout on the Needham High football team, he took his gridiron talents to Bowdoin, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He later graduated from Suffolk University Law School and began his career at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston. He later worked in private practice. He was a longtime worshipper at the Paulist Center in Boston. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan Brennan Needham; daughter Katharine B. Needham; and sisters Beth Shaw, Joan Nolan, Anne Gagan, Jane Feltner and Marie Brennan.
