Roland H. Janelle ’56

Roland H. Janelle ’56 died September 18, 2014, in Lewiston. He was born on May 22, 1934, in Lewiston, and graduated from Lewiston High School, where he was a standout basketball and track star. He continued his athletic achievement at Bowdoin, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He served to lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve, spending time in South Korea as the campaign came to a close. He also worked for Prudential for many years and was a member of the VFW. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Nancy Loring Janelle; daughters Keri Robichaud and Amanda Mitchell; son David Courtemanche; and three grandchildren.
