Sarah E. Dresser ’04 died on June 30, 2022, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Hanover, NH – Sarah Elisabeth Dresser, age 40, of Hanover, NH, passed away on June 30th, 2022, at Massachusetts General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Sarah was born in Hanover, NH, on September 30th,1981, to parents Dr. John David Dresser and Virginia Mae Dresser (née Jackson). She is survived by her parents, her sister, Laura Allison Dresser, her beloved dog, Gracie, and a wealth of aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandparents, George and Marian Dresser of Trumbull, CT, Raymond and Jeanette Jackson of Pomfret, CT, and her aunt, Carol Dresser of Plymouth Lake, CT.
Sarah graduated from Hanover High School in 2000 before receiving degrees from Bowdoin College and the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University. After graduation, Sarah worked as an analyst for a private security information firm in Washington, DC, before moving back to her hometown of Hanover.
Sarah was creative, kind, loving and fiercely intelligent. She was a voracious reader with an impressive knowledge of world history and current events. She cared deeply for others and fought passionately for justice in this world. Sarah’s creativity inspired others, and her family will cherish her drawings, photographs and writings. She loved dogs and had a deep fondness for her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Gracie. Sarah had fought chronic health issues for many years without being able to obtain a medical diagnosis; she was diagnosed with Wilson’s Disease shortly before passing due to complications from the illness.
