Sarah Hall, grew up in South Hadley
COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. – Sarah Whitney Hall, formerly of South Hadley, Mass., died in her sleep of cancer at her home in Cooperstown, N.Y., on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, in the company of family and friends.
Born on Dec. 23, 1953, in Pasadena, Calif., Sarah grew up in South Hadley. She was a graduate of Smith College Day School, in Northampton, Mass., Kent School, in Kent, Conn., and Bowdoin College, in Brunswick, Maine.
In her adult life, she was a gentle inspiration and support to family and friends, while pursuing her spiritual and religious interests. In addition to three sisters, two brothers and their families, Sarah leaves her husband, Bill Ralston, and their son, Daniel Ralston, also of Cooperstown.
Sarah’s late parents were George E. and Sage Adams Hall of South Hadley. Her siblings are Elisabeth H. Lyman of Sacramento, Calif., John A. Hall and Stephen B. Hall of Portland, Ore., Hetty B. Hall of Solon, Iowa, and Mary H. Hall of South Hadley.
