Sella L. McNally-Biggs G’72 died on November 24, 2016, in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Sella (Lang) McNally, 83, also known as Sella McNally-Biggs, began her next life’s journey on November 24, 2016. Born July 10, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in NYC then Roseland, NJ before moving to and raising her family in Bernardsville, NJ. Graduating Immaculata HS, Montclair State College, then attaining several advanced degrees in mathematics such as a MA from Bowdoin College; being selected and funded to attend the National Science Foundation Math Institute for Calculus Teachers at Hope College, she devoted her working life to West Morris Central High School in Long Valley, NJ teaching and heading up the Math Department as its Chairman. Her love of math and passion for teaching made her a sought after participant in new curriculum developments and reviews by publishers such as Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. She could also be found at high school track meets serving as a certified timing official. Retiring to Long Beach Island, she continued in the educational field substituting at Southern Regional High School. Undeterred by afflictions resulting from a stroke in the mid 1990s, she was an avid cruise taker and life of the party while residing in her sunset years at Harrogate Life Care, Lakewood, NJ.
She is predeceased by beloved husbands A. George McNally and Charles S. Biggs respectively. Sella is survived by her children CAPT Matthew A. McNally, DC USN; his wife CAPT Wendy Boruszewski, DC USN of Chesapeake, VA; Sella Burchette, her husband Greg of Hillsborough, NJ; Tracey Dugan, her husband Ed of Westfield, NJ, and her seven cherished grandchildren Alex, Lauren, Sarah, Jared, Erin, Eddie and Ian as well as many wonderful friends. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
