Thomas E. Damon ’52

Thomas E. Damon ’52 died April 28, 2018, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Thomas Everett Damon passed away Saturday April 28, 2018 at the age of eighty-eight. Born on September 4, 1929 to Edwin B. and Dorothy (Small) Damon, Thomas grew up in Wayland, Massachusetts. He proudly supported the war (WWII) effort with his Victory Garden and raising chickens. A graduate of Weston High School and Bowdoin College, Thomas enlisted in the Army rising to the rank of Lieutenant. He then moved to New York to pursue a career as a CPA. On December 13, 1968 he married Felicia (“Fritzie”) Reimer, who predeceased him. Thomas retired in 1991, and, in 2016 moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Though out his life he enjoyed tennis and paddle board, working on his ever growing model train layout, gardening, reading, watching movies, chocolate and his family. He was a person who always had time for others.

Thomas is survived by his daughters, Deborah Kate Damon and Hillary Elizabeth Stanley, a son-in-law, Clifford Stanley, a sister, Elizabeth Gutai, two sister in laws, Lillian Bevier and Mary Kate Sackett and nieces Carolyn Maurer, Elizabeth Drehman, and Sarah Baker.
