Thomas E. George ’80 died on November 30, 2022, in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Thomas E. George, DMD, FAGD, of Allentown, PA passed away on November 30, 2022, after a long, heroic battle with prostate cancer. His wife, Cheryl, exemplified love, courage, and support through their entire journey. At his passing, Tom was blessed with the company of close family members. His niece, Lauren Lagrow, MS, PA-C, made extraordinary efforts to provide comfort and care for her “Uncle Tom” during his final days and moments.
Tom was born in Idaho Falls, ID, on July 12, 1958, and raised there until the age of four. He attended Wilmington Friends School from K through 12. After graduating from Bowdoin College with a degree in biology, Tom excelled at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and received his DMD degree in 1984. After completing a two-year general practice residency, he remained in dental school as full-time faculty for two years. Afterwards, he became director of the general practice residency in advanced dental training at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, where he taught for thirteen years while maintaining a general practice. In 2008, Tom and Cheryl co-founded demé, LLC, which became a successful cosmetic and general dentistry practice in Philadelphia.
Tom was the perfect embodiment of diligence, patience, humility, compassion, charity, and love. Reserved and mild in manner, he set the gold standard for how to live a dignified and happy life without regret.
Tom was predeceased by his father, Daniel George, and nephew, Vincent Magnotta. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Beddoe George, his mother, Sachiko George, his sister, Linda George, his son, Freddy Robinson (Annie Robinson), his grandson, Chase Robinson, and many nieces and nephews.
