Thomas Eccleston III ’62 died on October 3, 2022, in Bedford, New Hampshire.

Thomas Eccleston III, passed away on October 3, 2022, at the age of 82. He was the oldest son of the late Thomas Eccleston Jr. and Ruth Whipple. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Beverley Fairbanks of Bedford, NH (formerly of Warwick, RI) and three sons, Thomas Eccleston IV and wife Heidi of Pottstown, PA, Greg Eccleston and wife Jennifer of Amherst, NH, and Richard Eccleston and wife Janet of Plymouth, NH; brother, William Eccleston and wife Mary Sue of North Providence, RI, and was predeceased by two younger brothers, Richard and Donald. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Connor, Tatum, Tim, Tanner, Claire, Michael and Hazel, who all affectionally called him “Bosco”.
Tom was a dedicated teacher and coach of football, hockey, and baseball for forty years at Pilgrim High School (RI) from 1963-83 and later at The Hill School (PA), Holderness School (NH), and Proctor Academy (NH). He graduated from Burrillville High School (RI) in 1958 and later earned an undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College in 1962 and a master’s degree from Brown University in 1966.
He was a loving husband, dedicated and present father, and great storyteller to his adoring grandchildren. He made a positive impact on hundreds of former students and players.
