Thomas W. Gaines Jr., 76, died October 21, 2014 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital from a stroke following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Wick, as he was known to all, graduated from Louisville Country Day in 1957 and Centre College in 1962. While working at the Vaughan insurance agency in 1969, he received his CPCU designation. He served as a director of Nahm, Turner, Vaughan and Landrum insurance agency and later as a Senior VP at AON Corp. But what defined Wick were his passions. He loved golf, hunting, sailing, tennis, paddle tennis, squash, Wolf Lake, and his farm but most importantly was his love for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Louisa Huey, his son, Wick III, his daughter, Weasie Gaines (Nick Russ), and his sister Margaret Ann King (Max). He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Macgill, Henry, John and North.
