Victor E. Torres ’76 died on October 28, 2017, in Tracy, California.

It is with great sadness that the family of Victor E. Torres announces his passing after a two-year battle with cancer, on Saturday, October 28th, at the age of 63 years. Victor will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Iris, his daughter Leah, his son-in-law Ben, and his grandson Hunter. Victor is one of five siblings and is survived by his brother, Ron, his sister-in-law, Debbie, and their four children Alex, Sam, Jared, and Veronica, as well as his niece Darlene and his nephew Carlos from his brother Carlos. Victor was predeceased by his brother Carlos, and his sisters Sandra and Brunilda.
Victor was born on August 12, 1954, in New York, New York to his father Jose and his mother Miriam. After he graduated high school in 1972 he joined the Air Force and served for four years from 1975-1979. He then went on to get his Associates Degree and worked for AT&T for over 30 years. All that knew Victor knew him as a kind, generous, and humorous man. He was a brilliant father, a loving husband, and a true friend; his legacy lives on through all those whose lives he has touched.
