Wallace Evers ’46 died on October 19, 2018, in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Wallace “Wally” Evers, age 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 19, 2018 in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Wally was born in Chicago, Illinois, February 13, 1925. He graduated from Bowdoin College in 1943, joined the Army Air Corps and completed a program in meteorology at Brown University and at MIT. He completed additional training in air traffic control and was assigned to San Francisco, Calif.; Hickam Field, Hawaii; Kwajalein Island, and Tokyo.
Wally worked at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan, General Tire company of Venezuela, and Knight Lumber in Maine.
In the 1960s Wally earned his private pilot license and flew on an island-hopping trip back to Venezuela.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Catherine “Kay” Campbell. Wally retired to Florida and lived in Sweetwater Golf & Tennis Club in Haines City, Florida, for over twenty years, where he enjoyed playing golf and traveling.
