Wendell T. Sides ’62 died on March 31, 2016, in St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles.

Wendell Thaxter Sides, age 75, passed away suddenly on March 21, while on vacation in St. Maarten. He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Johnson Sides; and her children, Amy Johnson of Oakland, Calif., Matthew Johnson, his wife Taylor Ann, and their son, Nash of Truckee, Calif.; loving brother to Martha Totman and her husband Russell of Scituate, Jane Curry and her husband Victor of Florida, Rebecca Cannata of Kingston, Daniel Sides and his wife Linda of Scituate; and many nieces, nephews and relatives he loved so much. Wendell enjoyed his yearly vacations to St. Maarten with Ruthie. He inherited his love of the ocean and lobstering from his father, the late Ralph Sides. Wendell also was an avid sports fan which he inherited from his mother, the late Ellen (Nellie) Sides.
