William A. Grove, Jr. ’54 died on September 17, 2021, in Ashburn, Virginia.

William Arthur Grove, Jr., of McLean, and most recently of Ashburn, VA, died on September 17, 2021 following the loss of his beloved wife of 31 years, Mary Ann, on August 26. He had recently celebrated his 89th birthday.
He was born in Philadelphia to parents, Elsie Styles Barnett and William Arthur Grove, and is predeceased by a brother, Richard Grove and sister, Janet Tietz. He is survived by his stepchildren, Pamela Wiles of Ashburn and Lee Wiles of Richmond, and daughter, Elizabeth Auch of Old Greenwich, Connecticut.
Bill graduated from Bowdoin College in 1954 and was commissioned to the United States Army Reserve as a First Lieutenant. He loved his career as a telecommunications lobbyist on Capitol Hill from which he retired. He also loved the Washington Nationals, tennis, trains, McLean and his many McLean Mews friends.
