William T. Shoemaker ’50 died on July 19, 2017, in Sebring, Florida.

William “Bill” Shoemaker, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on June 10, 1928, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Jesse Warren and Kate May (Wheelock) Shoemaker. Bill proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He moved to Sebring in 2004 from Littleton, Massachusetts and was a member of the St. Agnes Episcopal Church in Sebring, Florida. He was a former member of the Rotary International, served on the vestry at St. Agnes Episcopal Church, volunteered at Florida Hospital Heartland, enjoyed golfing and enjoyed following sports. Survivors include his wife: Margaret “Meg” Shoemaker-Sebring, Florida; daughter: Kimberlee Michaud (Joe)-AK; son: Jay Shoemaker (Nancy)-NC; sisters: Ellen Slack-MA; Mabel Harris-MA; five grandchildren.
