Christopher Chase Crowell Jr. ’48

Christopher Chase Crowell Jr. ’48 died on April 28th, 2018, in Hingham, Massachusetts.

Born July 12, 1924, Christopher Chase Crowell Jr. passed away peacefully in his ninety-fourth year at Linden Ponds in Hingham, Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Doris Marchalleck, three children, Jennifer (Flynn spouse of William Flynn), David Crowell (wife Diane), and Elizabeth Fritts (widow of Robert Fritts), seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. After serving as an honored Army Air Corp pilot during WWII, Chris went on to graduate from Bowdoin College in 1950. He lived principally in Wayland where he designed many of the luxury homes there and in Weston over a fifty year career. In retirement Chris lived in Bedford and Hingham where he continued love tennis, singing and his cats.
