Frank A. Oxnard ’45

Frank A. Oxnard ’45 died January 15, 2013, in East Wareham, Mass. He was born on May 29, 1922, in Medford, Mass., son of the late Charles L. Oxnard of the Class of 1911, and prepared for college at Medford High School and Hebron Academy. He served to pharmacist’s mate third class in the Navy during World War II and graduated from Bowdoin in 1946, remaining a member of the class of 1945. He was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He also attended the New England Conservatory of Music. He worked as a salesman at Oxnard Milk and at Rust Craft Cards. He married Marjorie Conrad on May 17, 1946; she died in 1991. He was a member of the Lion’s Club in Mattapoisett, Mass., and served as president of the Mattapoisett Wanderers, a men’s chorus. He was also an avid sailor and sailboat racer.
