G. Frederick Lombard ’57

G. Frederick Lombard ’57 died May 10, 2013, in Augusta, Ga. He was born in Caribou on August 4, 1936, and prepared for college at Caribou High School. He attended Bowdoin from 1953 to 1954, a member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity, before entering the U.S. Naval Academy, where he majored in engineering and graduated in 1958. He earned a master’s of business administration from U.S. Naval Post Graduate School in 1967. He served 20 years in the Navy, during which he was awarded the Bronze Star and served as commander of the USS Yosemite. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Sandra Hult Lombard; sons Stephen and Mark Lombard; daughters Lisa Marban and Paige Stowers; and four grandchildren.
