George A. Smart Jr. ’57 died in October 2013, in New York, New York.

He was born in Newton, Mass., on May 9, 1935, graduated from Concord (N.H.) High School, and was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. After graduation, he enrolled in Naval Officer Candidate School. In 1961, he worked as a program evaluator at the National Educational Television and Radio Center, then began a career in the travel industry, working at several travel agencies.
