Harold E. Cloud, Jr. ’73  died on June 15, 2021, in Newport News, Virginia

Harold E. Cloud ’73

Dr. Harold Edward Cloud, Jr. M.D. (“Dusty”), 70, passed away on June 15, 2021.

He was born to the late Harold Cloud, Sr. and Grace (Horton) Cloud, at Jamaica Hospital, NY, on March 31, 1951.  After graduating Massapequa High School in NY, Dusty attended Bowdoin College and the University of Houston before receiving his medical degree at UNAM, Durango. In 1983 he opened a family practice in his hometown before moving to Hampton in 1990, where he continued practicing until his retirement in July of 2017.

Dusty appreciated foreign language and travel, thanks to his parents, who filled their summer vacations with international destinations.  As an adult, he spoke fluent Spanish and traveled anywhere it was spoken.  He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and frequenting local restaurants with friends.

He is survived by his two sons, Harold Cloud III (Natalie) and Andrew Cloud (Erica); and five grandchildren.  Also left to cherish his memory are Donna, Aunt Mary, his cousins, and his network of friends which are his family here in Virginia.
