Michael M. Frost ’76 died on July 16, 2021, in Fairfax, Virginia

Fairfax, Virginia – Michael Frost (age 66), passed away on July 16th, 2021. He was the husband of Janet Cameron Frost. They shared 44 years of marriage together. Born in Brunswick, Maine, he was the son of Wesley Alan Frost and Anna Kaler Frost. He graduated from the United States Military Academy of West Point on June 8, 1977. He obtained Army Ranger status and began his service as an Army engineer. He then attended the Graduate School of Northwestern University, and received a Masters of Industrial Engineering in 1985. Michael obtained his Airborne Wings in 1990 and continued his service with the US Army, working with the Joint Chiefs of Staff until 1999. Michael was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Fairfax Virginia. He enjoyed sports, working out, running, camping, being in the outdoors, reading, and rock climbing. Later in life, he continued to enjoy working out, reading, watching football, playing video games and watching movies with his wife of forty-four years. He will be remembered for his wise, independent character and strong sense of ethics. He is survived by his spouse, Jan Frost; his children Jessica Gilligan and Alex Frost; son-in-law Tom Gilligan; and his grandchildren Donovan and Bryce Gilligan. He is also survived by his siblings Bruce Frost, Jack Frost, and Vicki Meggyesy. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 27th, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, Virginia 22172 with interment at the Quantico National Cemetery.
