Joseph J. Bak ’50

Joseph J. Bak ’50 died April 29, 2013, in Cape Elizabeth. He was born in Lewiston on March 29, 1922, and prepared for college at Lewiston High School. He was a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity. He served with the Coast Guard during World War II and later went on to work for the Prudential Life Insurance Co., retiring as an insurance broker. He was a member of the Purpooduck Club. He attended Holy Cross Catholic Church of South Portland and St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church of Cape Elizabeth. He is survived by daughter Lisa A. Bak and sister Christine Pistaki. He was predeceased in 2002 by his wife of fifty-five years, Thelma Barbre Bak.
