Leo J. Maheu ’77 died February 17, 2014, at his home in North Andover, Massachusetts.

He was born in Waterville on June 3, 1955, and graduated from Waterville High School. He earned honors in chemistry, was a dean’s list student, musical director for Masque and Gown, and a member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity. He went on to earn a master’s in business administration from Northeastern University and a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Minnesota. He worked for DuPont Mercke Pharmaceutical Company and was a self-employed consultant in the pharmaceutical industry. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Karen Rubin Maheu; mother Gloria Maheu; and sister Maria MacKellar.
