Warren H. Weatherill ’53

Warren H. Weatherill ’53 died February 18, 2014, in Seattle, Wash. He was born on May 14, 1931, in Ann Arbor, Mich., son of Philip F. Weatherill, Class of 1916, and graduated from University High School. He was a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. He graduated in 1955 with a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin and a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from MIT, remaining a member of the class of 1953. He worked as an engineer at MIT’s Aeroelastic Lab from 1955 to 1960, then moved to Seattle to work for Boeing in Flutter Research, retiring in 2002. He was an avid squash player, cyclist, and tennis player and enjoyed photography and woodworking. He is survived by daughter Robin Weatherill, son Philip Weatherill, and brother Robert H. Weatherill ’48. He was predeceased by his wife, Francie Hume Weatherill, whom he married on June 20, 1964.
