Richard G. Davis ’57 died on March 2, 2021 in Allison Park, Pennsylvania.

Richard G. Davis, age 85, of Allison Park, PA died unexpectedly on March 2, 2021. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 27, 1935, to the late John Phillips Davis and Jean Miller Davis, he graduated from Shady Side Academy in 1953 and Bowdoin College in 1957. He was married to Marlene Frances Suran from 1963 until her death on November 1, 2015. In his youth, he was a soloist chorister at Calvary Episcopal Church for four years. Working for thirty-five years for the Social Security Administration, he was responsible for processing disability claims in Colorado, Montana, North and South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. He and his wife returned to Pittsburgh from Denver in 2009. He is survived by two brothers, John P. Davis, Jr. of Verona, PA, and George H. Davis of East Hampton, NY; a sister, Jean D. Falk of Thornburg, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Rev. William M. Davis.
