Robert S. Vernick ’60

Robert S. Vernick ’60 died March 12, 2014, in Swampscott, Mass. He was born in Lynn, Mass., on September 7, 1938, and graduated from Lynn English High School. A member of Alpha Rho Upsilon fraternity, he went on to earn a master’s in business administration from Boston University in 1962. He began his career working with his father at Colonial Wood Heel in Lynn, which eventually evolved into Colonial Findings and, finally, RSV Enterprises. For many years, he was an active member of the Shoe Service Institute of America, including co-chairing with his wife at an annual conference in Boston. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Osberg Vernick; daughter Robyn; sons David, Scott, and Derek; and three grandchildren.
